Each spring I try to notice and make at least one iris painting. My irises don’t last long, and it’s sometimes a challenge to do one before it fades. I use ledger paper in the collage for several reasons. I like the order of a grid that reminds me of the yearly dependable blooms. I also like the way the grid reminds me of the underlying order in the universe.
